Green Partners
Around our city, we are fortunate to have strong partners leading the way to educate children and their families about the importance of sustainability and reducing carbon emissions.
In particular, we support the efforts of those organizations whose missions impact our work and overlap with our mission.
WITS worked to support the construction of The Greenhouse Project @ NYSunworks. Now that the greenhouse is up and running, WITS is building a partnership with TGP@NYSW to make good use of the locally grown produce.
Styrofoam out of Schools works to find solutions to end the use of Styrofoam lunch trays in NYC. They specifically work to reduce polystyrene food tray use and to replace polystyrene food trays in all NYC schools with healthy and environmentally sustainable alternatives. We support their efforts to eliminate a product that is damaging not only to the environment but also to children’s health.
